Confusing Skin
Dry and Oily Skin at the Same Time
Oily and dry are not always opposites. Skin can produce oil while still lacking water, calm, and barrier strength.
Oil is not always moisture
A face can shine and still be dehydrated. Dora sees this often when harsh cleansing strips the surface, the skin sends more oil, and the client mistakes that oil for proof that she needs even harsher cleansing.
That creates the tight-and-oily pattern: the face feels uncomfortable, looks shiny, and becomes harder to balance.
What Dora reads first
Before choosing stronger oil control, Dora looks at how the skin feels after washing, whether it flakes, whether breakouts follow irritation, and whether the barrier is asking for repair.
The routine may need less drama
The answer may be gentler cleansing, hydration, barrier support, or a better facial rhythm. The point is to solve the actual pattern instead of chasing surface shine.
